Room Stewarding at Monk's House (National Trust volunteering)

24th Jun 2009

Monk's House is the former home of Leonard and Virginia Woolf, in Rodmell. It is owned by the National Trust and rented and maintained by tenants.

We desperately need volunteers for Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, 1.50pm – 5.15 pm.

It is an atmospheric house with a beautiful garden and most of our Volunteer Room Stewards have been coming for ten years or more. Sadly, some have now had to retire through ill health or family commitments, and so we are looking for more.

You do not need to be a Virginia Woolf expert and will be given enough information to help you answer the most common questions. You will also be given tea and cake and made to feel welcome! Many of our visitors are incredibly grateful to the Volunteers who add so much to the experience of coming to visit Monk's House.
