Members meet in the Village Hall at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of each month.
Visitors are welcome at 8.00pm to our open meetings, when we often have guest speakers whose topics interest a wide range of villagers. The charge for visitors is £1 per person.
WI Monthly Meetings in 2010
Our meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Non-members are welcome at 8pm at any meetings marked with * - there is a charge of £1 for visitors.
Tuesday 19th January * : British women and the Kindertransport rescue – Sybil Oldfield
Feb 16th * : What our grandparents used & we threw away – Dudley Charlton
Mar 16th * : The lost village of Tidemills – Kevin Gordon
Apr 20th * : A thing of shreds and patches – Jackie Fry
May 18th: Resolutions Meeting – discussion on a current affairs issue
Jun 15th * : Gideon Mantell: surgeon and geologist – John Cooper
Jul 20th: ‘Planning on a Plate’ – time to plan the programme for next year, and enjoy a finger buffet
Aug 17th * : The tale of Beatrix Potter – Heather Woodward
Sept 21st * : Members plan a walk this time instead of a meeting. Meet at 6.00pm the National Trust Car Park for a pleasant walk, returning to the Abergavenny Arms by 7.30pm for supper.
